Information processed by the app

Chronomancy stores the settings and timeline entries you create, including your optional intention, notification window, reports, optional media, and timestamps. This information is processed locally to schedule notifications and display your private timeline.

Information we collect

We do not receive or collect data from the iPhone app. The app contains no account system, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, cross-app tracker, location service, contact access, health-data access, or remote logging service.

Storage and deletion

App data is stored inside the protected iOS app container. It remains there until you erase it from Chronomancy's Settings screen or remove the app. If you enable device backups, Apple may include app data in a backup under your Apple and iCloud settings; Apple's privacy terms govern that service.

Notifications

Random ping times are generated on the device and delivered through iOS local notifications. Chronomancy does not operate a push-notification server and does not receive your notification token.

Sharing

Sharing is optional and begins only when you use the iOS share sheet for a specific journal entry. The app you choose to share with receives the content under that service's own privacy policy.

Website and email

When you visit chronomancy.app, our hosting and security providers may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and time for delivery, abuse prevention, and reliability. The public website also loads a small traffic-measurement pixel from Metricool (tracker.metricool.com) to count page views. That pixel may set a cookie and process your IP address and browser details to produce aggregate, non-identifying website statistics under Metricool's own privacy policy; it is not used to identify you and does not apply to the iPhone app. If you email us, we use your address and message only to respond and maintain necessary support records.

Chronomancy Pro (optional)

Pro is the only part of Chronomancy that contacts a server, and it stays off until you enable it. When Pro is active, the app sends an anonymous device token, the current date, and a byte count to our entropy service, and receives a signed 32-byte seed used to time your pings. It sends no journal entries, no media, no location, and no identity.

The token is random, stored in the iOS Keychain, and not linked on our side to your name, email, or Apple ID. We keep a hashed copy of the token with the date and byte count for 30 days, only for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Purchases are handled by Apple under their terms; we receive only the entitlement status needed to serve the seed. If the network is unavailable, Pro falls back to on-device randomness and your pings still arrive.

Optional support payments

If you choose to support Chronomancy, you leave our website and complete payment on a Stripe-hosted checkout page. Stripe processes your payment method, contact, fraud-prevention, and transaction information under Stripe's Privacy Policy. We receive transaction details needed for receipts, refunds, accounting, and support, but we do not receive your complete card number. Supporting Chronomancy is optional and does not change the app experience.

Children

Chronomancy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If the app's data practices change, we will update this page and the App Store privacy disclosures before the change reaches users.
